Lately, we can experience that the big proportion of users prefer the online games rather the offline. But what kind of psychological aspects were behind this phenomenon?
Beyond the psychological comparison of online and offline games, I am presenting the typology of online games and also their individual psychological aspects, and after that I am narrowing my focus on the most popular online game type, MMORPGs (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games). Beside the specific psychological characteristics of online role playing games, the phenomena of problematic /pathological gaming are going to be introduced.
