The source of inspiration for this presentation is the Native American Indian Wisdom-Medicine Wheel.   It is an ancient symbol, developed ages before Native-Americans use, about 40,000 years old.  Native-Americans used the symbol as a teaching tool, enabling them to orally pass on their culture, traditions, and rituals.  For them, medicine meant wisdom.  We will be using it in this workshop to teach the evolution of consciousness with each direction on the wheel representing a developmental phase of human consciousness, both from birth to old-age and from prehistoric times to the postmodern present.
We are alive in times of great changes, among which is the shift in consciousness from a scientific materialist modern consciousness to a multidimensional, pluralistic postmodern consciousness.  The capacity to evolve to meet the coming changes requires a more developed psyche, one that has greater resources at its disposal than the modern level of consciousness we are leaving.  Our workshop will be comprised of both lecture and brief experiential processes that enable you to learn about and experience the evolution in consciousness we are referring to.  Psyche is the biological apparatus through which we become conscious. Never before in the history of our species has it been as important and possible to understand psyche’s profound power.
